Calgary Italian Bakery is committed to playing an active, positive role in the community in which we work and live. We believe that leadership means stepping beyond the boundaries of "business as usual" and taking the initiative to help our fellow citizens.As our company has grown, our opportunities to give back to Calgary has also increased.

We demonstrate our commitment to Calgary by both financially supporting charitable organizations as well as participating in fund raising activities.

By providing financial support to charitable organizations in Calgary, Calgary Italian Bakery strives to improve individual lives, raise the overall quality of life and strengthen our relationships with civic leaders and clients.

In calendar year 2006, the Calgary Italian Bakery partnered with and distributed funds to a number of charitable and civic organizations, including the Calgary Police Associations "Half Marathon" raising funds for local charities, the Alberta United Recreationists Society, the Calgary Learning Centre, Disabled Sailing Association of Alberta, among many others. In 2007 and going forward, the Calgary Italian Bakery is committed to increasing its support to these organizations and to combine its financial support with expanded personal involvement of our staff and employees.

In addition to formal donations of money, Calgary Italian Bakery provides fund raising ideas for community groups as well as encourages all of our employees and staff to support the efforts of local community service organizations through volunteer work and personal donations of resources.
